This is the thing; ever since Gaim whatever fun little gimmick for forms you have at the start is completely abandoned the moment the first upgrade comes in. The only ones to really avoid that were Drive due to the tires (and even then not really), and Ghost through having multiple upgrade forms including the secondary's final form and the tertiary's only form able to use the damashiis. But aside from that? Gaim, Ex-Aid and Zi-O's armours; Zero-One's alternate stuff; Build and Saber's mix and match gimmick... just all gone by episode 16 to be replaced by a slew of upgrades.
