[Kamen Rider Die]

Speaking of friendship and toku! I was looking through the catalog for comics and graphic novels shipping in May, and I was shocked and excited to see the following all-ages graphic novel coming out from Scholastic's Graphix imprint:



"Kara hoped to spend the summer re-enacting episodes of her favorite TV show, Shinpi Rider, with her best friend Alice. But when Alice moves to a new home two towns over, everything changes. Alice mysteriously stops answering Kara's phone calls and letters. In order to reignite their friendship, Kara hatches a brave plan to bike over to Alice's new school all on her own. Kara's bravery on the journey proves how strong she is but when Kara finally finds Alice, her bravado fades: Alice has found new friends and has left Kara behind. Can Kara be fearless when she feels so alone?"

I mean, this is pretty huge? Graphix basically owns the kids' graphic novel market, and this book is going to be available at every Scholastic Book Fair at every elementary school in America. That's huge.

But beyond that... a graphic novel about two kids forming a friendship over Kamen Rider?! (Sorry, Shinpi Rider or "Mystery Rider", I love that substitution.) Very excited to see how this one turns out, and I wanted to make you all aware of it. It'll be available everywhere the first week of May!
