And Ryusoulger didn't really use its gimmick with the mecha to the fullest. They didn't even use a clustereff Mecha Form (like Engine-O G-12).
Seriously, it has less combos with only using 2 Mecha than KR W/Double. Even removing the Fang Memory and only using combos achievable with Cyclone, Heat, Luna, Joker, Metal, and Trigger gives 9 Combos (CycloneJoker, CycloneMetal, CycloneTrigger, HeatJoker, HeatMetal, HeatTrigger, LunaJoker, LunaMetal, and LunaTrigger), while ZenkaiOh only has 4 Combos (JuraGaon, JuraMagine, VrooGaon, and VrooMagine) even excluding Super Juran like I excluded Fang. Even Gokaiger had more "Legend Sentai-esque" Mecha than the total amount of combos of the Main 4 Mecha, with Engine Machalcon (New Character with similar gimmicks in the toy to the Engine Sentai Go-Onger Toy Gimmicks), Dekamachine Patstriker (Directly based upon the Red Mecha from Dekaranger with the same button-pushing lights and sound gimmick), Karakuri Warrior Fūraimaru (designed as a combination of the qualities of both the Karakuri Ball and Shinobi Machine Tenkuujin), and even both MagiDragon (which would be the basis for Magine's Mecha Form), and GaoLion (the basis for Gaon's Mecha Form.) And think about it like this. Look at all of the Super Sentai Series released after Gokaiger. Go-Busters, Kyoryuger, ToQger, Ninninger, Zyuohger, Kyuranger, Lupinranger vs Patranger, Ryusoulger, and Kiramager. Especially Kyoryuger could have become a basis for a Mecha in Zenkaiger.
Sorry, I guess I am a major fan of Mechas with Crazy Combinations and Mix-and-Match Qualities. With Go-Onger, you could attach Engine Birca, Engine Gunpherd, Engine Toripter, Engine Jetras, Engine T-Line, and Engine K-Line to Engine-O to give him new Arms. With Kyuranger, you could mix-and-match the Limb Mecha to create crazy combos (sort of like a Scramble City Combiner from Transformers). For Zyuohger, it's the Totem Pole-like Combos featuring the 3 Animals, like Cube Eagle, Cube Gorilla, and Cube Condor on Top, Cube Shark, Cube Tiger, and Cube Crocodile in the middle, and Cube Lion, Cube Elephant, and Cube Wolf at the bottom (and of course their redecos from Korea). the Arm Mecha from Kyoryuger, the Auxiliary OtomoNin from Ninninger (Paonmaru, UFOmaru, Surfermaru, and Dinomaru), the Ressha Armament from ToQger. And of course Ryusoulger. But, I just feel like it has a lot of missed opportunities. Modern Super Sentai has a main gimmick like the Neo Heisei-Reiwa Kamen Riders. Modern Super Sentai is all about creating Crazy Combos while the Neo Heisei-Reiwa Riders are all about giving Riders multiple forms with collectable devices like the Gaia Memories, the O Medals, the Astroswitches, the Wizard Rings, the Lockseeds, the Shift Cars/Signal Bikes/Viral Cores, the Eyecons, the Rider Gashats, the Fullbottles, the Ridewatches, the Progrisekeys, and the Wonder Ride Books. All starting with the final Heisei Phase 1 Rider Decade and the Rider Cards.
Though, speaking of missed opportunities, including Decade in Kamen Rider Zi-O could have allowed him to have more Final FormRides from the Neo-Heisei/Reiwa Riders. The original Final FormRide Cards still work in the NeoDecadriver. So, why not make more Final FormRide Cards?
I guess the thing I hate the most is "missed opportunities." If Gokaiger was Kamen Rider Decade, Zenkaiger is basically Kamen Rider Zi-O.

The show literally just started. I think we can wait a few more episodes before deciding "oh yeah, this show missed its mark with the toys and plot and all." Apologies if that sounded rude, but that's the kind of vibe I get when you said that you would compare Zenkaiger to Zi-O.

I don't think using the "Gokaiger is like Decade, Zenkaiger is like Zi-O" line is very objective when we're at the 3rd episode. That's actually more of an insult to Gokaiger than anything else, seeing as Gokaiger is in general much more universally liked compared to the more divided opinions towards Decade.

I feel like we shouldn't just immediately compare a show that is just starting out to a show like Zi-O, when we don't even know of any future mecha that will be sold. In all honesty, I can see Zenkaiger making somewhat more sales than Kiramager due to the vast amount of Sentai Gears that are available to buy compared to the many Mashins available.

I think what I'm trying to say here is that we shouldn't just immediately start claiming that a show is missing opportunities when it hasn't even got the chance to get its foot off the ground. Regardless of what you actually think of Zi-O, it can be agreed upon that its beginning part did not do a good job with the anniversary aspect, with characters simply dropping off Ridewatches upon meeting Zi-O in contrast to the later episodes where they actually have to earn their power, but even then the writing has made the characters at times somewhat annoying, especially when they retreaded the 'Geiz is mad at Zi-O and shall kill him except they shouldn't' arc. While I thought the third repeat of it during Hiryu's takeover of the world was somewhat fine, especially since Geiz didn't display the same amount of hostility as he had when he first met Zi-O, I understand that some people were aggravated by the retreading of this plot line.

Zenkaiger I feel comes off stronger in regards to its anniversary aspects (at the moment anyway, dear god who knows what could happen to mess this season up), even if its more subtle. Even though they aren't focused on an particular Sentai series, it does at the moment appear to be doing a better job (such as with how the Goggle V and Hurricaneger Sentai Gears used in episode 2 is meant to reference how both those series and Zenkaiger fought mecha clones of the MoTW, and how the Zenkaiger's roll call in epsiode 3 pays homage to ToQger). Granted, it is minor, but the heart put into it feels more genuine compared to Zi-O's more shaky start (the only references made to Build in the first 2 episodes other than the two main riders appearing and talking about equations is them becoming Tsunagizu fans, which I guess??? I think having Sento discuss with Sougo about his dreams and how in spite of his destiny of becoming Oma Zi-O Sougo should still strive for 'love and peace' would be bettr than a small joke about them being Tsunagizu fans). So yeah, I think we should wait a bit more before calling Zenkaiger a "missed opportunity".

Sorry if I'm ranting to you and all, and I can see your point about the toys, I just think referring to Zenkaiger as 'missed opportunities' and comparing it to Zi-O is unfair since for one, its a Super Sentai Series, and two, the show has just started. We have no idea what they'll do in the future in regards for the toys, other than the Sentai Gears, so until we know more about it, I think we need to reserve our judgement for now.
