I've been overweight a few times in my life. It's completely fine to have a sedentary lifestyle if you eat properly. I've completely stopped working out and exercising, and actually lost weight since I started teaching from home last year. Your two meals a day need to be smaller - or just eat 1 bigger meal instead. Weight/obesity is honestly not hard to fix. Just commit yourself to eating less than what you're eating now. Even if you exercised, you'd stay around the same weight.
I know it can be difficult to imagine, but even just 2 meals a day can be a lot. I have hypothyroidism - more than 1 meal a day tends to be too many calories for me, I'll genuinely feel incredibly bloated afterwards. You've gotta be willing to make changes in your life - your weight gain/loss falls entirely on you, at the end of the day.
But high blood sugar isn't something you can just fix by eating less - you'll definitely need to see someone for that.

It really doesn't. All it is, is just calories in calories out. I have a slow metabolism as well, but at the end of the day, if I'm gaining weight, I simply ate too much. It can be incredibly hard to accept, but it is what it is.
