Well I just read Heir to the Darkness.

I’m not someone who grew up with In Space (I’m a child of the Disney Era) and my main experience with it was Countdown to Destruction being on a dvd of the best episodes of the franchise. That said, I like how the story kept the characters semi sympathetic, despite being villain protagonists.

And as for the contentious Flashman death-by-cameo? I’ve realised it actually does make some sense thanks to this comment.

So in a way, Astronema is a dark parallel of the Sentai Flashman, with the story showing us what happened if a captured child WASN’T rescued.
