Yeah, Kai's arc is Destroy Junction Point > New Information > Destroy Junction Point Again > New Information, and so on, ad infinitum. He doesn't understand the plot anymore than the viewers, so his plans are only ever going to have so much scope.

(Plus... the more he learns about the plot, the angrier he gets, and I love that. I will never not love that.)
