We've literally had KR characters that've gotten married and/or had huge romances involved. In W, Akiko and Ryu are married post-season. In Drive, Kiriko and Shinnosuke got married post-season too but had a pretty extensive focus on their relationship during the show. In Kiva, Megumi and Keisuke get married at the end of the season (and we know at some point Wataru's going to get married 'cuz of his son appearing from the future). In Den-O, Airi and Yuuto are technically a thing via Airi and his older self, and the whole plot literally involves their relationship.
