Also, I forget who brought up Resident Evil as an example of diversifying being a bad thing, but that example couldn't be more wrong. RE7, RE2 Remake, and RE8 are three of the best reviewed installments of the entire franchise and the sales reflect it. Also seems weird to cite an example of a franchise that ALWAYS was aimed at Western audiences.
