*Remembers the Zexal dub*

Dear god...

Context: That was the breaking point for me when it came to Yu-Gi-Oh! and dubs in general. I could not stand Yuma's (The Protagonist for that series) voice, and I was losing interest in general.

But then Arc-V came, which also marked the first Yu-Gi-Oh! series I saw in Japanese and to completion. It was good until about Season 3 for me. Though, apparently there was some issues behind the scenes, which may have affected the finished product. Now I loved the Monsters in Arc-V (Yes, even the Entermates) and the characters and premise were great, it just sort of fell apart later down the line, which is a shame.

Now the current series, Sevens, is helmed by a different studio and is actually better than I thought it would be. My only criticism is that it was being advertised as an anniversary series, but so far the only thing remotely anniversary is the appearance of some Legacy Monsters and that's about it, but overall, I'm enjoying it.

Yu-Gi-Oh! is certainly an interesting show (There's even a Toku influence as the creator loves Ultraman, and it's apparent in GX with the Elemental Heroes. Also when did this become a Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread? XD) that has some really neat monsters and stuff. But of course, it's not perfect, and not every series is quite for everyone (in taste), but it's something I still find myself coming back to every now and again.
