Like I said, it's just a rumor and not guaranteed to be true, but I think it could still happen. For starters this is the same source that leaked the Mario 35th anniversary plans, which all ended up being true. On top of that, sometimes things don't translate over from Japanese in the way that was intended. It's happened before.

Take it with a grain of salt, but I think it's at least worth acknowledging.
