Ufff... Wow... Yeah, that wasn't good. Saw someone compare it to two episodes edited down into one and... Yeah, absolutely this.

Nothing has room to breathe and I have no idea who Kengo even is as a person. The pacing is atrocious, rushing from one plot point to the next like it's a race, no matter how choppy and unnatural the dialogue sounds and feels.

And worst of all, no one feels like a human in this, just puppets dancing to the plot. A protective mother figure, telling Kengo to run even if she is just falling down that has no problem with him being given a gun and trying to fight the monster? Wha!? Kengo just goes along with the gun thing without really questioning any of it and so on. Nothing feels even slightly believable in here.

And mars isn't really properly set up and explored before we immediately ditch it for the earth in the second episode...

Like, I was slightly worried with how much it wants to be the next Tiga and this episode only worsened my fears...
