I get what you're saying, but the personal stakes feel much higher since it's Mei in danger, and Rintaro is easily at his lowest point. Even if in-show it's just another fused Megido, it feels much worse. Which is odd, because you'd think the heroes having their home base attacked would be equally dire - I guess since we already did it with Sabela (and it *did* feel dramatic then), plus having the fights be in random backrooms we've never seen, it just doesn't quite connect? Idk.

I'l agree though, it's nice to have King Lion get one final show-off before it's replaced forever.

Also, something else I thought of in the last hour - very nice of them to bring back Falchion, a movie villain with absolutely nothing going for him, and tie him into Saber's ongoing themes of "Everybody betray me", as well as adding something more to Yuri's story. An unexpected surprise!
