For anyone who doesn't know Subaru Kimura has made posts mocking people's culture before, and also done full on black face

I don't really wanna have a big argument about "what is considered appropriate in Japan" because I've already seen people make that argument today and it just has me in a grumpy mood.

So I'll leave that topic at, even if one thinks this is somehow appropriate when done in Japan that obviously shouldn't make it morally okay to do on an individual moral level, racism can always harm others, it's bad to mock entire cultures and races...

Even outside of all that, just from a business perspective this is smth toei should care about, they're trying to push rider in the west more than ever before, and this is 100% the type of decision that would get people to boycott their productions...

...Imagine if Revice is the first series they try to simul sub, the show will get a bunch of traction, then a lot of people will hear about this, and they'll be swarmed with letters and tweets about it, it just seems like a bad move from all perspectives

I do wanna stress I'm not judging anyone who's gonna watch the show anyways, its not like most people here watch the show in a way that would financially support this guy, you can watch the show and even enjoy it, no sweat off my back, I'm probabaly still going to watch it unless this man's presence just makes me too uncomfortable personally, but I don't have bad will against those who can separate the character from the actor

I would like to politely ask everyone to please consider avoiding supporting this guy on social media or financially, if you think someone's behaviour is crappy you don't owe them your support even if you like a show they're in

If you disagree with anything or even everything I've said feel free to tell me if you like, but like I said i don't feel like arguing so I might not respond, this is mostly just a PSA for anyone who cares
