Boom Comics plays around with the idea that the user can influence the final form of the morph. Apparently the Megazords can use with whatever happens to be around. It's like Gurren Lagann in this continuity.

The powers are just very adaptable. Also again the colors don't mean anything. Pink could be leader. There is no ranking or special class powers outside the weapon modes.

So there really was no need for the Turtles to take a color matching that rangers personality. It's not like Jason/Rocky, Zack/Adam, Trini/Aisha, Kimberly/Kat have the same personalities which is why they took on those colors.
