[Switchblade]

Kazuma is easily my favorite AU Rider so far. Wataru didn't do much for me, Shinji was highly forgettable, and Yusuke tends to underwhelm me (although I love how he randomly bursts in out of nowhere to give Tsukasa too much credit). Kazuma feels relatively developed and the actor does a good job of depicting his arc here. That said, he still feels pretty shallow because there's not much time to really get to know him. I found myself trying to fill in the blanks in his character with bits of Kenzaki, which isn't fair to either character.

I think going with two-part stories wasn't the best idea. I know it's how Rider works, but adding a third episode would have really helped expand on some of these worlds and characters. Kazuma is right on the verge of being a really likable character in his own right and not as just a Kenzaki stand-in. A little more screentime could have really pushed him over the edge. It also could have given more room for the secondary characters.

But yeah, I think this is one of the stronger AUs. If nothing else, it had some random Todoroki jamming out with his guitar and I am always here for that.
