Shingo is also dependent on Ankh to survive. I doubt Vice is serious about being reformed though. Even if he's done trying to snack on humans, he'll probably act on his own again as soon as he sees an opportunity, like how he claimed to be pretending to be a tame cat. It's not like Ikki can just threaten to get himself killed everytime Vice steps out of line. He'll need to get smarter.
