There are absolutely two things I remember about this set of episodes that I knew coming into this.
Final Attack Ride Hibiki and Daiki.
Daiki is absolutely at his best in this arc, after a slew of episodes where he's kind of just there to be there, it was refreshing to see him so involved. He ends up having real good character moments with our new AR Hibiki, and it's just a nice story to watch.
Meanwhile, FFR Hibiki is definitely a standout in terms of finishers. There's a reason this is like, probably the most talked about moment with Decade. If I had a Top Finisher list, I'd probably put this one in the Top 10, because the franchises has some genuinely fantastic finishers. Hmm... I should look into that sometime actually.
Regardless, something I didn't remember too much of was the passing from old to new. And I really like that sort of lesson and just really message. If only because I've seen a lot of Japanese game devs as of late talk about how you need to "Tear down the old, let the young fresh minds come in" etc and I can't help but agree with them at that point in some cases.
Either way, during this rewatch of mine I definitely have to say that World of Hibiki is probably my favorite in terms of narrative. While it was fantastic in it's own right, it didn't do enough to dethrone Kiva, Den-O or Kabuto in my "Top 3 I'm going to watch these after Decade" list. Maybe for the better since I don't have experience with Hibiki like everyone else does.
