I can't believe there was ever a version of this show without Stacey, since he's basically the source of maybe 100% of the drama. A Zenkaiger that is just all comedy all the time too might not have been necessarily bad, but I'm glad this dark prince is around because he always gives the episodes an extra enticing edge.
