My first thought is more, "God I am just tired of western adaptations of any and all foreign media", regardless of what it is. Almost every single western adaptation I've seen has been EXTREMELY inferior compared to the original, even if they say stuff like "Oh you should judge it on its own merits", like yea, and they were pretty shit ON their own merits.

Best and most recent example is Netflix Cowboy Bebop. Like I've only tangentially watched parts of Cowboy Bebop myself (never really was into it), but watching the Netflix adaptation was like, "Wow, this sucks without even understanding anything about the original".

The only one I give any sort of slack to is Power Rangers, considering its very nature as an adaptation of Super Sentai. But that slack isn't enough to stop me from criticisms of individual seasons.
