As I speculated in the Rumors Thread, I'm guessing this playing into Vice possibly taking control of Ikki, as some of the sequences in the opening suggest we're heading for that.

I knew that. I just could have sworn they mentioned they needed a sacrifice for him, that and joking about how she seemed more interested in Sakura over Doctor Shady. I won't be surprised if this whole plot is just everyone joining the Deadmans Bachelorette show.
