It's been this way for ten damn years! Neo-Saban bankrolled the Mighty Morphin' glut from the word "GO" (though Disney inadvertently helped with MMPR 2010).

In a sense, the other teams don't matter near as much. Spider-Man may have Gwen and Miles, but the face of the franchise will always be the Red-&-Blue on Peter! Doesn't matter how many Kryptonians you have as so many will think of the Red-&-Blue on Clark when someone thinks of Superman.

I've often wondered if Saban and Hasbro have tried to make P.R. as ubiquitous as Spider-Man and Superman by peddling the originals most people remember cause they are the ORIGINALS. They are the face of the franchise cause that's what most remember. They are the face of the franchise cause anytime someone owns this franchise, they push the most (at one time) financially-successful aspects to the point of madness (Disney was just weird and stopped caring by RPM).

No matter what changes are made, they'll never be able to escape the shadow of MMPR cause they aren't willing to do enough to break away from the nostalgia aspects. Nostalgia isn't saving this franchise...it's running it into the ground!
