Bad news everybody. Don't play previous generations system games on anything other than it's home native consol. I tried with Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and the system bugged like crazy. Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 are Play Station 2 games.

All I can say is have on hand a Play Station 2 , 3 , 4 and 5 on their own. Do not upgrade games from the system originally released on. The newer system will fight the older game as it did with me. I had this happen myself.

I only lucked out with Tomb Raider VII and VIII due to the fact Tomb Raider IX Underworld was on the Play Station 3 in the first place.

PS 2 is the only time so far I've seen it work for PS 1 Games.
It's a matter of compadability in this case. Most of the time previous gen games don't work due to the game software.

This can happen when they re issue PS 2 Games on PS 3. As was the case with Metal Gear Solid.

Compadability is why I own both a Play Station 2 and 3.

I tried Metal Gear Solid HD Collection 4 times and same result.
