It's... tougher but also not, if that makes sense? Like it's as punishing as any soulslike but the learning curve is nowhere near as steep as the first one and the new mechanics offer a lot more breathing room. For reference I got as far as the second mission of the first one before hitting a wall, whereas in 2 I'm currently at the start of the third section of seven.
