I feel like Beast Morphers functioned as a transitional period between the Saban Brands Era and the Hasbro Era, similar to Wild Force bridging the gap between the Saban and Disney Eras. It was a very experimental show, delving in the lore, bringing closure to RPM, proving how a skipped, merchandise-light and disrespected-by-Bandai Sentai could still hold up in the present with a little creativity, etc. While I have my issues with the story and characters, from a marketing perspective, I think it was a great first impression from Hasbro, to show what they could do for the future of the franchise.
But Dino Fury is where they really show how awesome PR can be when they refine all the good points, like giving more focus on comedy to the protagonists, linking the story to comic book elements to expand on the lore, making the characters feel more like real human beings who act more naturally, the rich character development such as Zayto dealing with his guilt over what happened on Rafkon, Amelia becoming more confident and Javi standing up to Warden Buzzkill. Even when they're acting obnoxiously, at least they're acting with some emotion. The move to Netflix is another great decision, as they no longer have to worry about Nick imposing on their creative liberty.
Regarding whether or not to stay close to the source material, I don't mind either way, as long as it's done right. Unpopular opinion here, but I think Jonathan Tzachor was a great producer, who stayed faithful to the source while making it more suitable for the western audience and adding his own flair, like Cole's tragic backstory and Antonio being skilled in cooking fish and even performing in a band, rather than sushi. I think these little changes give them an edge that goes beyond the source. Of course, I'm all for PR doing its own thing as well. I'm a big Ryusoulger fan, but so far, Dino Fury is quite different and I'm loving that as well. I'm hopeful for what else Hasbro can accomplish.
