If I somehow manage to forget it by December, I want to point out now that the Squid Game fight scene with the constant freezing mid-fight is going to be hard to beat as the funniest moment of the year. The fact that one of the mooks straight up halts mid-jump was just the icing on top of a delightful visual gag cake.

You literally write the plot around Tarou falling ill and having to come back strong, even directly involving for the first time a character who clearly knows a thing or two about his Gears, and then Tarou still just pulls a new one out like he's always had it. It definitely made me smile to see that Inoue still gives absolutely zero fucks about explaining where new toys come from.

So, as someone who only watched one episode of Zenkaiger, can someone fill me in on what Zenkaizer Black's deal is? He was on that show first, right?
