Also, it sort of makes sense that the Time Jackers would pull their scheme now, since they're sweating bullets over Grand Zi-O. Swartz says as much, I think. It's super convenient, storytelling-wise, but I think the show makes it believable.

Know what, that's really fair! It didn't linger on my mind but now I do actually really like the thought that his very recent failure to beat his future self despite all his newfound power, would make him feel especially despondent or responsible for what's going on now. It's a really Sougo way of thinking.
