It's such an actorly move, him needing to be doing some business in the background, but I loved it. This is a scene where Sougo has to convince two people who would very much like to murder him to not only not do that, but also please be his friends again... and Tsukasa's stocking up on bread while casually reminding Sougo that he wants to be exactly the thing the Time Orphans are afraid of.
