Yeah, it's different enough from Build's take on a New World that I don't mind Kamen Rider doing it two years in a row. This version wasn't about the hero taking on some Terrible Weight and sacrificing everything for their friends, even if those friends would never know it. It was a kid who saved his friends from sacrifice, and built them all a world to live in together. It's the exact opposite of Build's use of the plot, which is why it works for me.

Ha ha, it is a pretty bad middle section! Just this brilliant Sougo plot surrounded by dumb plot mechanics (I love that they saved the Swartz'z World Is Dying Because It Doesn't Have A Rider thing until the last goddamn episode) and baffling anti-drama. Geiz saying "Sougo" is worth a million points, though.

Thanks! There's still a week left of post-show content to cover, and a couple wrap-up posts, but it feels kind of weird to have watched 20 full seasons of Kamen Rider. It was a goal I set for myself not even a couple years ago (I want to say it was probably late-summer of 2019?), and now it's done. Crazy!
