Remember Urobuchi saw Ryuki and said "I wanna do that" and then created Madoka Magica. Then he finally got a chance to do Rider and decided "I wanna do Madoka again but with Rider" and we got Gaim out of that.

It's a very layered thing and honestly I'd be interested in doing a potential Watch Ryuki then Watch Madoka then Rewatch Gaim sorta thing one of these days.

I didn't know Madoka was inspired by Ryuki
