The shows are painfully the same on a number of beats, here's how I usually describe it tho it does simplify both shows a bit:

Red/Pink colour-coded protagonist wants to fight monster-of-the-week-enemies and protect people and makes a contract with a monster to gain superhuman powers to fight motw-enemies. However it is revealed they've unknowingly joined a battle royale of others who have contracted to gain power. The winner of the fight will get a wish but the protagonist has no clear wish.

Bonus: Blue colour-coded secondary character who's signature item is a sword joins the fight because they want to make a wish to heal their hospital ridden love interest
