To be fair, we did have Blade that was on a face-value level almost the exact same as Ryuki.

Both have "Base" Animals for the individual Rider's for their unique theme.

Both have cards as their gimmick item themed after animals that are used for attacks.

Both used combinations (Ryuki: Weapons and armor/Blade: Combined Finishers)

On a very basic level, they are extremely similar, but in retrospect were going for very different themes and the shows went in very different directions.

I'm not saying that it's wrong to compare Build and Geats, the rumors certainly make them sound very similar, but I would not be surprised if we had a similar situation with Ryuki/Blade, where they sound like they have nearly the same gimmick, but end up being different enough not to feel like a repeat.
