I actually kinda hope the first arc is like the competition arc. Always thought that one would have been a far superior first arc than the one we got. It helps that that arc was probably the best-written part of Zero-One in general.

All in all, I just want something more... laid back for the first arc. No world-ending stakes, no constant new problems, just competition shenanigans before the script flips on them during December.

Still... Hope the monsters in the first arc are just that, monsters, simple mobs that don't tie into any MOTW plots beyond getting beat up. Takahashi's early MOTW plots are all just kinda... shit. And they'll need all the time to flesh out the Riders, so, I rather have the story mostly driven by Rider conflict than the monsters. That also means no real villain group this time. Please.
