I mean, it really helps that Naki's story is constructed out of two very specific Zero-One plotlines: it's Yua's story with Fuwa's resolution. You can speed Naki through those beats because the audience already gets the significance of the obstacles, the arguments, and the defiant need for self-determination in a capitalist system.

But this episode still elevated that material with clever cinematography (that shadow of Naki as they're speaking through a captive Fuwa!!!) and some fun acting, so I don't really mind the shortcuts.

Yeah, I... golly, I'm not really looking forward to this weekend's COVID episodes. It's a shame to see a show that's on such a hot streak get hobbled by an unpredictable global pandemic. Hopefully there's still some fun to be had in the remaining dozen episodes, though?
