I honestly got the feeling that she was probably doing that weekly before Episode 1. Fuwa - as a resolute and focused teammate - is still Fuwa, which means he's basically impossible to direct in any useful way. She probably had to knock that dude out just to take a lunch break.

Sure, but couldn't he be more persuasive about it? There were scenes in the last ten episodes where Horobi's appeals to Jin, about rejoining MetsubouJinrai and following Ark, that at least tried to find a logical coordinate inside Horobi's repetitive and emotionless approach. This time, it's just We're Going To Burn The World Down To Save Our People From Fire, and it's too dumb to not have anyone point out the hypocrisy of it.

I only ever mean the quality of the stories. I've never hit a show yet that I expect to be cancelled, and I definitely don't want that for Zero-One.

I was at a small restaurant a few months ago with a friend, when the restaurant owner came out with some organic basil he'd bought from a local grower. The owner went around to each table, talking about the basil with glowing, life-altering terms, and asking people to try a leaf. Just, like, eat some basil. Very much reminded of that weird experience with Aruto's snack of a single lettuce leaf.
