I feel like the Ark is definitely inconsistent in it's actions, but I suppose that's what happens when you're made up of human malice and there's a lot of conflicting malice types. You can never really be sure if you want to just immediately crush someone and watch their life drain from their eyes or toy with them in a cruel manner.

I imagine Ark thought that its grandstand against Aruto would be enough to get the job done. But it sat for a while, especially now that it has an entire undamaged satellite for processing power, thought and realized "Oh... oh wait maybe I should just kill everyone."

Admittedly one thing I'm sad about this episode is the loss of the building for Hiden Manufacturing, it was so young...
