Yeah, misplaced is right. This subplot would've been more fitting for maybe the 30s episode range, instead of letting it lose any momentum until people stop caring. It's just way too small and contained to carry a final arc. Vice's betrayal is a sham, as we all know he didn't really eat the Igarashis and he doesn't intend on eating anyone, any ambiguity is completely tossed aside as soon as the family shows up to provide exposition. If Vice is supposed to claim the title of a final villain, then he's basically a fraud.

The George/Hiromi scenes are cute though!

That was a surprising and cool reference to the movie! Except now the devil duck has Ultimate Vice's color, which is strong enough to defeat Destream!

Personally, I'd say Gaim has the worst final episode. Followed by Ryuki and then, Decade.
