Not satisfied with what's before, I'd decide to watch a Rider show that's currently running again in Geats.
So the first episode sets up things rather quick. Outside of a handful of characters getting to know about the gimmicks and threats, it's already set in the ongoing Desire Grand Prix with many things already happened, at least basic ones, like Jamato threats, multiple Riders fighting for points (only Keiwa and Neon are non-Riders at that point, and they become one at the end of episode) and even one dying (Takeshi Goutokuji/Shirowe), a boss in Fortress, the world in peril due to the war, and even a winner of previous DGP in Ace. The quickness is quite successful in adding tension for the viewers, at least me.
The episode seems to focus not on the primary Rider here, which was also done in some previous series like Faiz. But it's done on Keiwa Sakurai, the established secondary Rider instead. He's the one established as a do-gooder who would put others above himself and have noble goal of making the world better place, the one with Kamen Rider sensibility. It extends to his sister Sara to point out that he'd donate the money he won at lottery instead of using it. It's not that character types like him are inherently flat or one-dimensional of only wanting to do good and nothing else, it can be a lack of effort from writers to flesh those types out, but that seems to be Keiwa's problem, to get himself failed in a job interview due to having no drive for himself. At least that is addressed in-universe as his struggle, but at least I'd want for Keiwa to be able to get personal drive, while also not compromising his ideals.
Despite Keiwa's disinterest to Neon Kurama, or at least her channel, she's the one who got paired with him at the survival they have to go through. As what's said in preview, she's a rich and beautiful celebrity streamer (... in contrast to Genta) that wants to live a normal life, which is shown in her bodyguards trying to forcibly take her home. What she escaped was her bodyguards, but she seems to be still streaming and interacting with fans while going outside home (as a way to escape her family's obligations), so that seems to mean that she won't 100% leave celebrity world, but more of being free while running it. She seems to be decent for a good amount of time, but can get irritated quickly like pinching Keiwa for confirming if it's a dream or not.
Michi
naga Azuma/Buffa seems to be so far, the most morally lacking individual in this series (of course it'd not be him for whole series). Other than how he's someone who's only out for himself, and would do anything to accomplish his goal, without regard of the consequences, he's also someone who projects his seemingly dim view of humanity (or dunno if it's only DGP contestants) to everyone else, like accusing Takeshi as only making himself look good by saving people. It's something that can be pulled in real life by for scummy people to think that anyone who acts like a decent human being has some sort of ulterior motives, of which, it's more like about how it's
them
who would certainly never help any one without some self serving reason.
Tsumuri so far is only giving Desire Drivers and ID Cores to who she thinks are worthy. Not much that can be said about her right now, like what's her criteria to be chosen as a Kamen Rider, what is she aiming by choosing so many people, etc. But for me, she seems suspicious so far (is she the main heroine?), not unlike... Sid from Gaim, both plunging people into war by giving them powers.
And for the primary Rider, Ace Ukiyo, he's someone outwardly extremely confident, with constant smirk, and unflappable nature facing any challenges (or... there are no challenges for him). While he has some degree of arrogance, dunno how mean to others he'd be for the following, or that he'd be not really mean to others just full of himself, so far the only 'tactless' thing he did was making quick advances to Neon (which'd probably mean Ace has casanova traits too). Compared to Tendou, he seems to bond with people easier, outside of wrong first impression to Neon, as Tendou's typically rude and condescending except to certain few like Jiiya. While Ace here is encouraging to the people he interacted. The mean one would probably mock Keiwa's rant about the world's current nature (and I do expect some of that for Ace), but Ace here would persuade others into trying instead. Ace talks about creating a new world, though dunno how he'd accomplish that, like if he'd have no qualms wiping out the population for that, or seemingly not with him inviting Keiwa to try a new world.
Regarding his henshin to Geats, for someone using ranging weapon, ironically he often jumps straight to his opponents... despite ranging weapon being created so he wouldn't need that. Or that's purposely done to show that he can tackle any situation, combat or ranged. His Rider's powers and gimmicks has some resemblance to Build in it's asymmetrical double color, Zi-O in how he spins the belt, and Accel in revving the Driver. So the Riders in Geats aren't actually all blank black, it's their incomplete forms, and Geats here had used Magnum and Booster power, which is Geats' main form, and apparently can have their positions switched. CMIIW for this, but Magnum provides his Magnum Shooter 40X and Booster provides his Boostriker? Dunno what's the benefit of switching positions yet. His Rider Kick Grand Victory is standard so far, the bike's only used to infuse flame to his kick, less spectacular use compared to for example Drive's SpeeDrop.
