I've finished up the last bit of Dino Fury and, well, I'll just be straight to the point here: I was rather let down by alot of it.

Many of the problems that I had with the season that I'd voiced while watching the first three quarters of it were not only not improved upon, I'd almost argue that they were actually doubled down on and possibly made worse.

Alot of the specifics of the plot don't make much sense, there's alot of double standards in the morals of the week, all of the side characters are far more interesting than the Rangers are, the sillier aspects come across like the staff is ashamed of them, and, worst of all, the introduction of the Morphin' Masters into the grand scheme of things end up removing any and all stakes not just from this show, but every single Power Rangers entry going forward.

Once it was revealed that the Legendary Battle was not won via the combined efforts and valor of all of the various Rangers across the years coming together, but rather the machinations of the Green Morphin' Master, I had thoroughly checked out and the rest of the season never really did anything to pull me back in. It's the type of retcon that makes me wonder just what in the world the staff behind the show were thinking when deciding to implement it.

Not to mention the ending being a total non-ending in order to set up for Cosmic Fury does nothing to help the show with its own subtitle stand on its own legs. The way Cosmic Fury itself is being handled is also not really optimal for my own personal tastes.

Between all of this and the rather bold statements made by Simon Bennett online makes me think that the Hasbro era of Power Rangers might ending up being one that isn't exactly made with my own personal tastes in mind.

Despite all of that though, there were still aspects to the show that I liked.

The parts where the show truly signs really do have to do with its dialogue alot of the time. The most funny moments come from banter between the cast, with even the episodes that I really didn't like having some good lines in them. The villains, for the most part, were consistently fun too: Mucus, Slither, and Void Knight especially. And of course there's the action aspect which never gets old for me when it comes to Toku. I dig the score too, so props to whoever handled the musical aspect of the show.

But yeah, unfortunately, for me I'd put Dino Fury somewhere towards the bottom for me when it comes to Ranger seasons. Will I still be doing a breakdown/review of my favorite episode like I did for all of the other seasons? Yeah, of course. Will I still watch Cosmic Fury? Yes, but rather cautiously this time around in comparison to the optimism that I typically have when it comes to almost anything Power Rangers related.

In the end, Dino Fury had some good stuff going for it, but it really fumbled in alot of the ways that usually make the franchise great for me. Such a shame.
