Really loved how the finale ended by leading into the original series.

Obviously we can get a second season, but until that's confirmed, ending the anime in a way that both says to the new viewers to give the original series a shot and also frames it as Shotaro retelling the events of the series to Tokime works extremely well as a "gap-filler" between seasons.

Really hope we get confirmation of a second season sooner than later. This whole series was a solid, enjoyable ride.
