Disney has been doing stage adaptations of their big musicals for decades now. Heck, most of the live theater scene seems to just be stage adaptations of Hollywood movies. If you really want your mind blown, the lead actor of Kamen Rider Drive starred in a stage adaptation of 17 Again. Why did they adapt that for the stage? Why did they do it in Japan?! It’s crazy.

I have personally been to a couple theatrical performances of Disney Musicals, and it’s a lot of fun. Plenty of material for Disney to pull from there if they ever need to pop a rating on ABC or something.
