[Switchblade]

Personally, I consider Decker to have been a better version of what Trigger was trying to do. I thought it was really solid, but still below the standard set by shows like Orb, Geed, or Z. That’s a very high standard, though, and I would definitely never call Decker bad, just unremarkable.

I did appreciate how this show brought the supporting cast back into the foreground again. After Trigger made the Captain, Workout Bro, and FALCON-CHAN!!! into glorified extras, it was nice to actually care about Ryumon, Kirino, and the commanders. I especially liked Kirino’s reaction to Kanata’s secret and how much that visibly hurt her. I didn’t think Agams was nearly as successful as a villain, but he worked well enough for me.

I know we’re probably stuck with New Generation TDG for one more year, but I feel more hopeful for Gaia Redux now than I did a year ago.
