I'd prefer it if they just keep Trini alive, like Ui in Kiramager VS Ryusoulger. It's the easiest and most sensible solution. No harm, no foul.

Hypothetically though, if they're going to kill her, they should do it right, or not at all. If there's anything we can learn from controversial movies like Alien 3 and Independence Day Resurgence, it's that posthumously acknowledging important character death isn't something you can just cover in about a minute of trivial "oh yeah, BTW," dialogue. Our feelings for Trini, as well as Thuy, are worth more than that.

A benefit of Power Rangers having suited characters in this case is that even though we can't see a hypothetical Trini death scene, we can still see a Yellow Ranger death scene. Like they did with Sky's father in SPD, or Kendrix in Lost Galaxy. We feel those deaths, as we see them happen and that makes them more tangible and gives them the importance they deserve.

I'm not sure how else it can be done properly.
