Ren's storyline is the quintessential Saber plot, because it has to be grating and annoying at first in order to eventually be poignant and transcendent. How much that destination is worth the journey is, appropriately, where Your Mileage May Vary.

I think it's the first Reika short? I knew I wanted to do something on that apology scene, and I'd already done Ryoga and a ton of Mei, so I thought I'd see what was there for me. It really clicked when I decided that Reika 1000% does not see that everyone hates her, and that she definitely thinks Ryoga is a great brother that she needs to protect by being the cooler sibling. I kinda love these two oblivious jerks now?
