So the very plot point we were afraid of is ultimately gonna happen! It does appear as though it's not something that happened years ago with some unseen battle, but the end result is the same.
That being said, it's obvious that very few people are going to really notice or even care!

One thing worth noting is use of the words "kill" and "killed" which are decidedly uncommon in the franchise! They've been said before... kinda, but it's not frequent!
If that's supposed to be the Mighty Minotaur and Snizzard (per the rumors), then those are extraordinarily different and fun!
The Zord Sequence is definitely copied from Zyuranger to match the look and tone, but it's hard to peg that as just straight-up CGI. It almost looks like stop-motion animation was used, if only as a pre-production work guide.
Will definitely see it cause it's definitely going to be one of the most significant crossovers in the franchise, but I get the feeling that you can only love it up to a certain point even if it is good and fun and nostalgic and popular! They clearly made a questionable choice here. I'm actually curious why so many classic actors signed-off on this as the right thing to come back for!
