I only follow Garo very casually, I thought Versus Road was supposed to be the first to take the brand wherever, since they just wrapped up the Saejima family's involvement in the franchise in Moonbow Traveler about a month before Versus came out.

If so, jeez. To have a franchise end on its very first step in a new direction, right after giving the mainline series a heartfelt sendoff too, that's... something.
