Huh! That would've been a way worse finale for this episode, had they beat up a nightclub-church-spaceship with an aircraft carrier robot. Giving Fenix a big win like that... why? Who would care? It needs to be Ikki getting the win, and there's not reason for him to pilot an aircraft carrier robot right this second.

Yeah, I don't love the quick aside from Mom Igarashi to complain about Sakura -- and only Sakura -- going off to fight Deadmans. It's played for laughs, and Ikki (mostly) pushes back on Mom's concern, but it's still a weirdly adversarial stance for one of my favorite characters on the show. I wish she'd stop being a weird mom about this with Sakura!
