I do think giving Olteca the Demons Driver is a good idea. Demons as a suit just feels more in line with his role on the show than Hiromi's ever did, and I think the suit actor's more theatrical and condescending body language makes the suit pop. I'm okay with this change to Kamen Rider Demons!

I mean, I don't think there can be a 50-episode toku superhero show that doesn't have machinations. It's not really about eliminating them entirely; it's more about me not liking them as the sole element of an episode of television. I like when the villains' plot and the hero's proactive nature combines for a story that's less about multiple warring organizations, and more about something the hero wants and is thwarted by due to machinations. I just... I want the hero to make a choice in the story, and the only choice anyone makes in this one is Sakura joining an uninspiring cult with really nice chairs. Not a great episode for character-based storytelling!

I think Switchblade is just teasing a little bit when expressing their opinion. I think they're aware of this all being subjective. Sometimes there are jokes!
