I'd sort of be okay with it if it were just a thing Daiji said, because it's Daiji's nature to misunderstand how emotional growth works and try to one-up his brother: "If Ikki loses his demon, I'm sure to lose mine soon in an even cooler way and be an even better person for it!" But when Genta says it? NOPE. Genta's the absolute last person on the show who should be talking about the inevitability of losing an aspect of yourself!

Yeah, I appreciated how much every character got a little grace note, considering how much the last three episodes were just about Ikki, Vice, and George. Yukimi starts an uplifting livestream! Tamaki and Hana end up not going to jail! Sakura wants to be a doctor! It's all very sweet and optimistic.
