Another red stag beetle hero appears, except he's a villain here and instead of having a crippling fear of death, he cannot die. Glodi is surprisingly dark, with his ability to raise the dead as mindless zombies. Cicadas are a symbol of resurrection and Glodi took that to the most literal extent he could, as the culprit of the Fury of the Gods from 17 years ago, which happens to be the lifespan of cicadas.

I read that Rita's right eye was a prosthetic, but turns out it was only charged with magic power that Gokkan rulers somehow know and that the bright grey color is a mark of its potency, which is why Rita's eye is always that color while Karras' eye fades to normal when the power's not in use.

Looks like more development for Hymeno/Rita. Sebastian isn't exactly subtle when he tells Rita that Hymeno is only this hospitable for special people, which means Hymeno cares about them more than the other monarchs. Enough to tearfully stop them from sacrificing themself to seal Glodi. As Hymeno is the most selfish of the monarchs and most desperate for revenge, her feelings for Rita must be particularly strong for her to do that. Taselles Mirullia Da'pago sounds heroic and all, but it's important to think about your loved ones who will be left alone.
