It’s absolutely 100% dumb, and it’s INCORRECT AF. That is not how the English language works, just because someone used ONE word of a two word phrase to abbreviate. Shinkocchou Seihou is a two word phrase. You use the whole word to abbreviate, not parts of it, or just because someone else wrote it wrong. SS = Shinkocchou Seihou.

Literally (SKC,which sounds like someone describing the SIC name) it’s mad incorrect.
English rules don’t change from country to country like this.
I know why some 3rd party manufacturers use it, to avoid Bandai bringing the legal hammer down, so they do what you said(make it up from 1st word then wink-wink) but it’s still wrong in the literary context
